• Internships: During Summer 2017, while a senior biomedical art major at the Cleveland Institute of Art, Isabella Piechota worked as an intern for CfIR. She researched and created illustrations comparing the human spine to the spines of state-of-the-art anthropomorphic crash test dummies. Her internship also provided her with exposure to the application of her medical illustration skills to journal articles, technical papers, conference presentations and court exhibits.

Extrication Training for Local Fire Departments - 2010, 2011, and 2013: In an effort to support our community, CfIR donated our test vehicles to local Fire Departments for their search-and-rescue training for:

A single-vehicle rollover crash using a Jeep Grand Cherokee and Hyundai Sonata

A two-vehicle rollover crash using a Hyundai Sonata and Ford Explorer

Hybrid vehicle crashes using a 2007 Hybrid Toyota Camry specifically to familiarize firefighters with the most vulnerable spots for electrocution (engine, battery and other electronics)

A three-vehicle rollover crash with Hybrid II dummies
